The actuator is not made in usa, and also the. They use they are purchasing directly from china. What they are doing is also illegal – so please don’t be fooled.
Truly a sad attempt at being an american. Snowblower chute deflector mod kit with. I have made a kit for chute control for the john deere snow throwers and throwers. This specific setup will work on many snow blowers such as kubotas, bercos, deere, and many more.

I have made this kit and include pictures and instructions based on the john deere 425 445 455 model using the 46″, 47″ and 54 blowers. I have this same set-up on my deere 445 and love it so much that i decided to make this kit. The factory deflector/chute adjustment cable is over priced for what it is and really becomes more of a hassle to install and remove every year – i wanted something far better. This remote chute deflector angling kit runs using an electric linear actuator that can position up, down, or anywhere in between and hold at any point to whatever degree of throw you want. I made a new wiring harness for this and have all the connectors pre-installed including an inline replaceable fuse. The switch is a weatherproof momentary marine rocker switch that can handle the worst of weather as seen in the picture installed to the right of the yellow pto knob. The actuator has a quick connect terminals for mounting and dismounting the blower before or after winter.

The 2nd picture shows the actuator fully open and next to it showing fully closed, giving the full range of snow throwing angles… (fully open to fully closed). For example: a jd 345 tractor has a battery located behind the engine up near the knees of the operator (not at the front of the tractor) so this requires different length leads off the harness. This harness will fit the jd 4×5 series, x4x5 series, x5x5 series, x700 series tractors with 46″, 47″ and 54 blowers. See last pic of similar rocker switch on x700 series. The install is very simple and i have made it beyond easy for anyone to install with super detailed instructions. The wire harness runs from the switch to the battery then quick connects to the linear actuator mounted to the chute.

Zip ties are all that’s needed to run this harness from switch to battery. The actuator requires 2 holes drilled (one on the deflector and one on the chute) with a 5/16″ drill bit – so make sure you have a 5/16″ drill bit.

I include measured locations to drill for mounting using the included mounting hardware. The switch cutout is simple if you use my quick clean technique: of heating a razor blade with a blow torch held by locking pliers and melting through the console cutting a square hole for the switch (measurements are included in my instructions). Better yet an exacto knife heated up with a lighter will cut through the plastic like its butter! Look factory and is conveniently accessible! Next step, wire it to the battery, use the included bolt for a ground and your ready to go! About a 1 hour install and well worth it! Wire harness with protective sheathing (includes all terminals and connectors pre-installed) -new. Black rubberized momentary weatherproof marine rocker switch – new. Mounting hardware for actuator- mostly stainless! Locking nut to replace black knob for manual chute adjustment. Adhesive wire clip for back of chute (optionally used). Fully detailed color instructions with diagrams!
