Manufactured by bcs this snowthrower attachment is for. Older bcs (models 715, 725, 735 and possilbly other newer bcs units with a splined pto adapter, or dog drive bcs units with a spline to dog drive adapter from bcs america check dimensions for mounting below), as well as older mainline tillers with bolt on attachment connections. (older mainline tillers circa 1972-1983 were manufactured for mainline by bcs). (see coupling description below and photo 2). These units, while new in the box, are part of the remaining inventory of.
Paul a sullivan who started mainline of north america the orginal bcs and mainline distributor in north america. The unit pictured was unboxed just for the photo so you can see the actual condition. These are the original heavy-duty production that helped bcs build its reputation. Just to put it in perspective these units were $499.00 in 1980. New units are $800-$850 and nowhere near the weight and construction. Very nice attachment, well described, works great!
Each auger also is designed with a breaking and gathering crossbar (picture 10) and a solid steel ice breaker block (picture 
to break up large chucks of ice. The auger is also protected with safety shear pins. The chute is adjustable from left to right and anything in between by means an operator lever on the chute.
Each chute also has a distance deflector to control the distance for accurate placement. (picture 4 black knobs on either side of chute). Ground clearance is controlled by adjustable skids (picture 9) to enable the attachment to clean down to the hard surface, or be given enough clearance so it can be used on gravel or stone walks or drives.
Coupling flange is 4-3/4 wide. Mating ring is 2-5/16 diameter. Mounting hole spacing is 3-3/4 center to center. Mounting hole diameter is 9/16. Exterior diameter of spline is 3/4. Interior diameter of spline is 9/16. All sizes are approximate as they may actually be metric. Height adjustment (by adjustable skids) 0″ – 1 1/4″. Because of the low price, but they are brand new.
These units have not been flooded or under water or any other such thing, but the appearance, not the functionality has been compromised. I just mention this because i received a report from a man who received a unit and was dissatisfied because he thought they had been flooded which is not the case.
