Stored inside garage its entire life except for last 5 months. Engine Cranks fine (so electric start works fine). Probably needs carb & plug. Balance of issues unknown Im not a mechanic. This offer is for a used, good physical condition , clean , well cared for. Ariens deluxe st1236dle pro series 12hp 36 commercial grade two stage self propelled snow blower. That is equipped with a dash mounted headlight, differential lock control, cast iron auger gearbox , 6 blade impeller , dual drift slicer set – and more! The model # of the unit is 924103 and the ser # is 00110x. The unit is in very good physical appearance condition- but it does need service attention for it to be fully operational- please read our report for full disclosure. The engine is a tecumseh snow king ohsk120 12hp ohv with a cast iron cylinder bore. The engine runs now as it is, but it is a little lumpy (cycles slightly) at the full throttle setting, and idles well – likely a carburetor cleaning is needed. We test ran the unit during our inspection to be sure of it’s performance level. The lower right leg of the handlebar is cracked at the bolt mounting hole- could be welded- or replaced with new (my choice would be new). Some paint is missing from the inside auger housing due to normal use , but it is better than most unit’s we see – all paint is original- we did not paint or touch up any of the frame, auger or chute parts. The extra thick commercial grade skid shoes are in 50% good condition (with new extra’s included) and the scraper edge is in 70% cond. At some point in time the scraper had worn down to the point where the frame was rubbing the ground and wore away some leading edge material from the bottom of the scoop housing , but currently the scraper is in good shape (see picture). The housing wear will not affect the unit’s useful life- but it’s too bad it happened. The unit will need new belts, and the drive plate support housing is cracked – so new parts will be needed to restore the drive plate , but the balance of the drive parts are in very good condition. We inspected the auger input shaft support ball bearing, auger gear box, and differential lock during our service. The unit isn’t spotless , as snow removal equipment see’s the worst of mother nature’s effects – but it is cleaner than most – and although it will need service before it can be used -it will still outlast most of the “other stuff” in the marketplace. This unit will not disappoint you when compared to the “frame build” of most other similar used units you typically find in the market place. Tecumseh 12hp snow king ohv engine w/cast iron bore. 36″ two stage clearing width – has super big 14″ 6 blade impeller fan. 16 aggressive snow lug tires (16 x 6.50 x 8 size). 15.5 steel solid ribbon auger tines. Throws snow up to 50 feet. Cast iron gearbox- heavy duty auger drive. Thf snow chute (taller, higher, further). We will include a reprint owners manual , reprint parts list and extra shear bolts with this unit. A random list of the unit’s current condition per our inspection notes. The drive plate carrier housing is cracked- therefore the aluminum drive plate moves when it shouldn’t, and that causes the wheel drive belt to not stay on the pulley. Cast iron auger gearbox and input carrier shaft support ball bearing are good – no repairs needed. Scraper edge is good, scoop bottom edge worn from a prior scraper edge not being replaced soon enough. Skid shoes are 50% good- a brand new extra set is included (worth 45.00). Belt guard was cracked at mounting bolt hole- we are including a brand new replacement part (worth 25.00). Fuel line leaks – new replacement part is supplied w/ unit. Tires good – do hold air – have normal small age cracks in tire casing. Incorrect muffler is on engine- but what is there works nicely, and is professionally installed (we did the repair a few years ago when the muffler broke during a big snow storm). Frame/ paint condition is very good- very little rust – unit was stored indoors year-round. If shopping for a comparative replacement ariens model – the hydro pro 36 model currently sells for 3599.00 , so this unit is a great value in the scheme of things.
